Lugares con encanto…

Así de entusiasmada me lo contaba Irene al teléfono…

¡Hemos comenzado la mañana con la comida favorita de todos los tesoros, breakfast!

Acto seguido hemos cogido el “pack lunch”, no era una paella de marisco ni las maravillosas salchichas alemanas, pero nos adaptamos a lo que haga falta, para subir al bus enseguida. Oxford nos esperaba!

Hemos llegado a Oxford un poco dormidos después del trayecto en bus pero con ganas, nos hemos puesto a caminar descubriendo rincones con mucha historia, la biblioteca de Oxford, un maravilloso puente con vidrieras preciosas, un gran comedor donde se basó la película de Harry Potter, la iglesia “Christ College” e inmensos jardines bien cuidados. 

También hemos tenido nuestro ratito de libertad como mini grupo pudiendo ir en grupos de tres a tiempos controlados por su cuenta. Para mi sorpresa, nuestros Tesoros me invitaron a sumarme a su escapadita de shopping…un honor y una chulada compartir con ellos. Un disfrute vernos a todos con ese sentido de pertenencia al grupo.

Nos hemos contado historias, nos hemos conocido mejor y hemos recorrido algunas tiendas en busca de detalles para amigos y familias y bueno… algún capricho propio.

Hemos finalizado el día con una noche de cine. Resumiendo, un día de película. 

Servidora la escuchaba imaginándome a la perfección cómo habría sido su día en Oxford. No se merecen menos.

With such an enthusiasm was talking to me Irene on the phone…..

We started our day with our favorite meal: breakfast!

Right after, we collected our “pack lunch”. It wasn´t by any means our Paella or the wonderful Würstchen (sausages), but as we adapt to anything, we got into the bus. Oxford was waiting for us!!

We arrived there a bit sleepy after the long journey but full of expectations. We started to walk and discovered great areas, historical places such as the Oxford library, an amazing bridge with its stained glass windows,  the huge dinning Hall where Harry Potter´s film was based on, Christ College church and unendless wonderful gardens.

We also had our breaks where students were allowed to go in 3 at limited times. To my surprise, our Treasures invited me to join them to their shopping free time….an honor of invitation which I really enjoyed. I loved checking that sense of belonging to the mini group. We altogether! 

We shared stories, we get to know each other better and we walked some shops looking for some presents for family and friends…and ourselves, of course.

We closed the day with Cinema night. Summing up …today was a wonderful day. Like our Treasures.

I was listening actively Irene while I was imagining in detail how your day might have been in Oxford. They deserve no less.
